World Oceans Day
As this image says well in Spanish, the ocean begins here, in our neighborhoods, in our houses and in our towns. Any trash left in a ravine, river, or street can end up in them. It is our planet, it is our responsibility.

Our garden is still alive and producing
As we already mentioned, after confinement we were able to harvest a second crop from CEIP Utiaca garden. Now the third one is on the way. Among other plants, some lettuces are rebirth or are already on the right track and even a chard, which we have already harvested, has sprouted and will again give us leaves for some pottage. World Environment Day
This week was World Environment Day. During the last weeks we have seen that a consequence of the pandemic we have experienced is the massive generation of new waste. Thus, we have started to use gloves, masks and other contaminating elements in a massive way that we must avoid ending up in the environment. We must take care of our planet, we only have one.
Solidarity Heart at La Vega de San Mateo
The Department of Solidarity of La Vega de San Mateo has promoted the installation of a solidarity heart for the collection of plastic caps and their subsequent recycling for charitable purposes. The heart has been made by the Teneriffe sculptor Moisés Afonso, within the framework of the “Conciencia T” project. During the 2019-2020 academic year, our educational community has participated in this initiative by collecting caps and depositing them in it, following the statement that dominates the sculpture: "Small town, giant heart".
CEIP Utiaca school garden during the 2019/2020 academic year.
The previous year a land was prepared to make a large school garden for the school. We were able to do it with the collaboration of teachers, institutions, neighbors and, above all, thanks to the families of our students who did not hesitate to contribute work and material resources.
Thus, during this course we have been able to plant and harvest two crops. In addition, we hope to be able to pick up some products before the end of the course.

Climate Change
Climate Change is a global problem that must be intervened. We congratulate the Saraçoğlu TOKİ Mustafa Çetin Elementary School team's efforts to be a part of the solution, not the problem, but the climate change, and they continue to carry out within the scope of the "Everything Sarts With You, Be Aware of That There is Life " project.🍃😊
